FUNDACION ALIANZAS ROSALICO A.C. is a non-profit organisation, founded on 20 September 2011. It is recognised by all authorities in Mexico and has a written constitution. Registered Charity Number in Mexico: FAR110920DX4

 

MAIN GOALS:

1. To restore environmental balance by promoting the culture
 of recycling
2. To promote social development through the private sector
3. To encourage worldwide volunteerism
4. To support and promote education
5. To fight ignorance through education: sex education,
peace education, training and work 
support and encouragement
of entrepreneurs and reading workshops

6. To teach people to work

EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES

This programme has been running since 2012 in conjunction with JOINT, an international organisation based in Italy which promotes volunteerism. Together with them, we apply for European Commission funds for EVS and Erasmus + programmes. These programmes allow the Foundation to do the following: 

1. Provide scholarships for Mexicans in vulnerable situations to encourage social work and cultural exchange.
2. Receive international volunteers in Mexico to share our culture

and work in formal and non-formal education. 

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE PROGRAMME? 

1. Volunteer work

VOLUNTEER / CANDIDATE PROFILE:

1. 18-30 years old
2. Willingness to share
3. Tolerance towards other cultures and ways of thinking
4. Adabtable
5. Enthusiastic and proactive
6. You do NOT have to know the language before you arrive
7. You do NOT have to have any prior work or voluntary experience

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE ARRIVAL: 

1. You must attend an information meeting about our programmes
2. You must attend an interview with the Foundation’s programme coordinator
3. You must sign a contract of participation
4. You must cover the costs of participation
5. You must hand in all relevant documents

* It is NOT necessary to know the language in advance unless specified by the project

 

 

LENGHT OF THE EXCHANGE PROGRAMME: 

1-3 months

4-6 months
  

INCLUDES:

1. Volunteer project
2. Accommodation
3. Food (3 meals per day)
4. Local transport from your house to the volunteer project (return)
5. Visa application advice
6. Training
7. Spanish language course. 15 hrs for volunteers up to 6 months.

For shorter periods, this can be included at an extra cost.

VOLUNTEER PROJECT 

1. Your project will take up a minimum of 20 hours and a maximum of 40 hours per week.

2. You will have one week of holidays at the end of the programme.

3. There are various projects available including: working with disabled people, pensioners, marginalised people, human rights, schools, orphanages, street children, critically ill people, environmental projects, etc.

4. Each project has a description of the activities and responsibilities that will be carried out by the volunteer.

5. All volunteers will have a contact person who they can rely on for the duration of the programme.

ACOMMODATION 

1. Accommodation could be with a Mexican host family OR on the premises of the project depending on the volunteer’s.
